PCOS can make you feel like your body is in charge of you. It doesn’t have to be that way though. Symptoms of PCOS include:

  • Unpredictable or long cycles

  • Acne

  • Hair loss

  • Hair growth where you don’t want it

  • Weight gain

  • Fatigue

  • Infertility

  • Skin changes

Living with PCOS can be like being on an emotional rollercoaster.

 How does acupuncture help?

Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine work together to treat PCOS. Acupuncture is a time honored modality. It’s used to bring your body to a state of calm so your own innate healing ability can do its job of allowing you to heal quickly and fully. Chinese herbs work to both treat symptoms and give your body what it needs to heal its self. All acupuncture and herbal treatments are customized to treat your unique set of symptoms in your unique body.

During our first session together, I’ll complete a detailed intake taking into account all the symptoms you’re currently experiencing, your health history, and any medications you may be taking. All this gives me a clear picture of what’s happening so we can get straight to your root cause. This gives me all the information I need  to create your treatment plan.

During this time, you’ll receive your first acupuncture treatment along with a custom herbal formula for you to take at home. Most people find acupuncture to be very relaxing and some even fall asleep right there on the table. From there you’ll come in for weekly treatments. We’ll do a brief check in and adjust treatments to where you are in the moment. We expect to see:

  • A more predictable cycle

  • Less acne

  • Reduced hair growth

  • Better energy

  • Easier weight management

Once we agree that you’re experiencing significant change we can shift to treatments every other week, then monthly for a couple months. After that you can just return whenever you feel like you need a tune up.

I pride myself on knowing that so many of my patients are referred by people in the community and other patients. I look forward to serving you and your community.
